IT Technician - Calgary, AB (YYC)

We are currently seeking a Full-Time IT Technician to join our team at our Calgary, AB Base.
The IT Technician is responsible for overseeing all physical IT assets, basic onsite IT duties and monitoring and actioning tasks from the central ticketing system. The IT Technician reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Job Description
Assemble, image and configure client workstations, laptops and servers.
Lead onsite and remote tech support troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking issues for various clients.
Perform tech support tasks at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and application.
Oversee the central ticketing system and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Document all changes to client environments.
Responsible for the distribution, tracking, collection and maintenance of all physical IT assets.
Follow direction of IT contractor to ensure a consistent result for routine and common tasks.
Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the Internet/intranet to aid in problem resolution.
Develop and distribute company communications regarding IT.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Confident in administrative ability and IT literacy.
1 year of previous IT experience.
Effective interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, flight crews and Company management.
A high level of initiative, strong organizational skills and adaptable to change.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and possesses good time management.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and stress.
Strong ability to determine performance goals and ability to hold others accountable.
Ability to abide by the rules of confidentiality.
