Flight Dispatcher - Calgary, AB (YYC)

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Flight Dispatcher to join our team at our Calgary, AB Base.

The Dispatcher is responsible for all technical aspects of flight planning, ensuring that flights are planned and monitored safely and efficiently in compliance with established standards and regulations.

Job Description

  • Answer incoming calls and emails

  • Communicate Charter advisory emails with customers and company operations

  • Prepare charter quotes

  • Coordinate charter logistics, assist with operations, and liaise between company operations and clients

  • Provide passenger check in and ground handling for charters operations

  • Monitoring the progress of the flight from beginning to end

  • Promote a culture of safety

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old, in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations

  • Successfully completed Transport Canada Dispatch exams (FDMET, FDOPS)

  • Hold a valid Air Operator Radio License

  • Ability to legally work in Canada

  • Must be able to obtain and retain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to work in a high-pressure environment

  • Effective and efficient decision-making skills

  • Willing to work shift work

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Good organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
