CMA Announces Launch of Dedicated Cargo Operations – CMA Cargo – with the addition of Newly Converted Beech 1900D Cargo Freighter Aircraft to its Fleet.

Central Mountain Air (CMA) is pleased to announce that it is launching a new dedicated cargo operation - CMA Cargo - using a Beech 1900D converted aircraft to meet the cargo transportation needs of freight forwarders, shippers, and other organizations in Western Canada.
The newly converted Beech 1900D Cargo aircraft is the first of several planned conversions that will be added to the CMA fleet in the coming months to help grow CMA Cargo operations, CMA Cargo will provide dedicated Cargo operations across Western Canada. In addition to the fully converted Beech 1900D aircraft, CMA is able to provide cargo-only transportation in our temporarily modified Beech 1900D aircraft with the removal of the seats from the passenger cabin to provide additional cargo space. CMA continues to provide Cargo transportation moving essential goods across the communities we serve where excess capacity exists for belly freight within our scheduled route network.
The addition of dedicated freighter aircraft to CMA’s fleet will allow CMA Cargo to expand its logistics capacity and facilitate the regional movement of goods such as medical supplies, e-commerce packages, mail, parts and equipment, pharmaceuticals, perishables, groceries, and more.
The Beech 1900D Cargo Aircraft has 6 loading zones with cabin floor panels that accommodate up to 75 per sqft loads with a cabin roller/conveyor installed and cargo nets. The Beech 1900D cargo aircraft is a workhorse - with a Standard 4’4 door and cabin height of 5’11, and able to move up to 4,439lbs of cargo with relative ease and speed.
