What’s your current role, and what do you love most about it?
I am an Avionics Apprentice, and I mostly enjoy solving problems on the planes. It requires me to think outside the box and challenge myself to become a more efficient technician.
How long have you been with CMA?
I have been with CMA for about 1 year and a half.
What inspired you to pursue a career in aviation?
I am a hands-on person who enjoys challenges and problem-solving. I thought pursuing a career as an AME would be a good fit because I possessed such qualities that would help me succeed in the aviation industry.
Can you share a little about your journey into the aviation industry?
Since joining CMA, I have gotten familiar with our fleet aircraft and continue to broaden my knowledge to better assist in the daily operations.
How have you seen the aviation industry evolve for women over the years?
I believe women play an integral role in the aviation industry. There has been a continuous demand for women in aviation over the years, and it continues to grow. It feels rewarding to be amongst fellow aviation women who are also making a difference and supporting one another.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your aviation career?
I've learned to always be prepared for continuous learning because the aviation industry is constantly evolving through aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
What advice would you give to young women considering a career in aviation?
Dream big! The aviation industry is continuously expanding and evolving, and I believe there is enough room for all women to succeed.
