Customer Service / Ramp Agent - Kelowna, BC (YLW)

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Customer Service / Ramp Agent to join our team at our Kelowna, BC base.

Customer Service Agents are part of a team that works in conjunction with crew members and ground agents to escort and board passengers, take reservations, and maintain baggage accuracy and safety. Customer Service Agents report to the Customer Service Supervisor.

Customer Service Agent

  • Check-in and greeting passengers, taking reservations and handling payments (when necessary)

  • Responding to passenger inquiries

  • Assisting passengers with disabilities during deplaning and enplaning

  • Processing baggage and cargo

  • Gate operations and flight closure, communicating load counts to flight crews

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Other duties as assigned

Ramp Agent

  • Handling passenger baggage and cargo while adhering to all ramp/airside methods and standards

  • Marshalling aircraft in and out of the ramp area safely

  • Operating and positioning all airside equipment

  • Performing basic baggage equipment maintenance checks

  • Assisting passengers with disabilities during deplaning and enplaning

  • Coordinate aircraft de-icing

  • Accepting and receiving cargo

  • Communicate load counts to flight crews

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirments

  • Must have a valid driver’s license or transferrable license (“N” license at minimum)

  • Ability to lift 70lbs/32kgs repetitively

  • Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb repetitively

  • Work in confined spaces

  • Safety conscious- able to keep safety a priority in all tasks

  • Superior customer service skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts and weekend coverage

  • Willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions

  • Good computer skills

  • A positive attitude with the ability to be flexible

  • Must be able to obtain and retain an Airport RAIC
