Maintenance Planner- Calgary, AB (YYC)

We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Planner to join our team at our Calgary, AB base. The Maintenance Planner reports directly to the Maintenance Control Coordinator and is responsible for supporting the Central Mountain Air maintenance control system in areas of maintenance planning, maintenance program development, and technical records. The Maintenance Planner provides day-today and forecast planning for the CMA fleet to ensure that all CMA aircraft are maintained to a serviceable condition.

Job Description

  • Maintain compliance to CMA SMS, MCM, and MCP policies and procedures

  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly planning reports

  • Create Work Packages, IAW CMA MCM/MCP utilizing WinAir, aircraft maintenance task cards, engine OCP’s, ICA’s and other source approved documents including parts availability

  • Plan future heavy maintenance packages utilizing future maintenance forecasts, applicable maintenance schedules and mandatory airworthiness limitations requirements

  • Liaise with Base Engineers and Maintenance Manager regarding maintenance forecasts, tasks, parts, and work scheduling

  • Review maintenance paperwork from completed work packages

  • Assist with monthly consumables purchase order and critical rotable min/max at bases

  • Order parts as required

  • Review of the Aircraft Maintenance tracking system (WinAir) Audit as necessary including the required parts list for scheduled tasks

  • Maintenance program development as required

  • Ensure WinAir is updated as necessary to maintain compliance with maintenance schedules, airworthiness limitations and applicable airworthiness directives

  • Assist in adding new aircraft into WinAir as required

  • Attend maintenance meetings and provide a variety of reports as identified

  • Track and monitor the deferred maintenance items and recurring defects

  • Assist with monitoring rotable parts movement

  • Provide support to Technical Records

  • Provide support to Quality Assurance Department

  • Provide support with the upkeep of aircraft manuals/documents (AFM, QRH, etc.)

  • Other task as assigned by the Maintenance Control Coordinator and DOM

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • High standard of computer literacy using Microsoft 365 suite

  • High level of knowledge of aircraft maintenance schedules and maintenance programs

  • Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations

  • Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives and how they are implemented in the fleet

  • Experience using WinAir or equivalent aircraft maintenance tracking software

  • Airline operation technical record / maintenance administration experience

  • Ability to use aircraft maintenance manuals and part catalogues

  • Technical writing ability (grammar and clarity)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Team worker and self-starter

  • Highly Organized

  • Ability to improve or develop systems for increased efficiency
